Edwards probably did himself the most good.And no, those two lines are not buried in the story; they're the first two lines after the first paragraph.

Left unsaid was that Edwards was the best-coiffed of the Dem candidates. That's his super-secret double-crossies weapon that will bring the soccer grammas to him in droves.
I agree, who wants a real ugly man or woman leading this country?
That's why dark-skinned candidates traditionally do so well.
Advantage Obama? It's pretty hard to be darker than a black guy. In seriousness though Ive noticed that edwards and romney are often attacked as lightweights, is it possible that the fake-tan and expensive haircut has something to do with that?
