Whether you're a wonk or a wannabe, you might find Wonkosphere a useful resource.
In their own words, the site's organizers "track hundreds of blogs and web sites per day ... Our patented ... text analysis technology identifies posts that matter, not just posts that are popular. If you're tracking individual candidates, our unique analysis will show you their share of buzz in conservative and liberal blogs, highlight the most representative posts, and tell you whether the tone of discussion about your candidate is trending up or down."
That's great promotional talk, but what I like about the site is the "cool stuff" ... stuff like the right-column feature, "One Step Ahead," which lists "Ten blogs whose posts on [x day] best represented the collective buzz on [x+1 day]" ... or the ability to click on any presidential candidate's name and immediately see his or her "buzz share" and whether or not the tone of that buzz is more or less positive than the average for all candidates.
And there's more. Much more. Check it out.
